My name is Krishang Sharma…

I’m a third-year Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student at the University of Bath with a strong passion for building machine learning models and applying them to financial markets. My background spans software development, AI experimentation, and data analysis, equipping me to approach problems from both a technical and market-driven perspective. I’m motivated by opportunities at the intersection of technology and finance - whether designing scalable applications, developing predictive models, or uncovering insights that drive innovation in trading, risk management, and investment strategies.

Fitness has always been more than just a hobby for me - it’s a discipline I’ve committed to over the years. Whether it’s pushing limits in the gym, swimming laps, or competing in different sports, I’ve found consistency, focus, and a lot of fun along the way. For me, staying active isn’t just about physical health, it’s a mindset that keeps me driven both inside and outside of sport.

A bit about myself

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to exploring different philosophies and beliefs, as I find that understanding diverse perspectives broadens my way of thinking. Over time, I’ve felt a natural inclination toward spirituality, which helps me maintain a calm and steady mind during moments of high stress. The image on the right is from my time in India, taken at a very special temple, where I was deeply moved by the serenity of the surroundings.

My passion lies in problem-solving, with coding as the tool that allows me to turn ideas into real solutions. Projects have shown me the creativity in this process, while LeetCode has strengthened my ability to approach challenges logically. I’ve developed a growing interest in machine learning models, which open new ways to tackle complex problems. Collaborating with peers and mentors has further deepened my understanding and drive to keep improving.

My passion for finance began while studying economics and has since grown into an active interest in investing. From tracking the rising volatility of global markets to examining the macroeconomic impacts of geopolitics, I’m continually fascinated by the fast-paced world of finance and the increasingly complex models used to understand and predict it.
